I enjoyed this sci-fi triple-shot with my morning coffee. Suffice it to say that Paradigm jolted me awake in the best possible way. Killian C. Carter is one to watch. His work doesn't suffer from the dreaded middle drag that plagues much science fiction. I can't wait to read some of his long-form fiction given the deft and imaginative deployment of these three short stories.Product details

Paradigm Three shots of science fiction eBook Killian Carter Reviews
This is described as 3 shots of science fiction and that's exactly what they are. They are a short taste. These stories immerse the reader in alien worlds with each story ending with a twist more so than being a fully developed, nuanced tale. That being stated, these are solid, well constructed stories. Hopefully the author will delve deeper with his themes and stories because the settings and sense of wonder while reading this is spot on. I gave this 4 stars because while I enjoyed reading it, these tales did not take me deeper but seemed an exploration of being able to write science fiction short stories which was successfully done. Their charm was reflecting a sense of wonder.
Great twists in both "Exhibit X" and "Half and Half" and the world building in such a short piece as "Into Infinity" was pretty incredible.
I actually enjoyed the author's introduction as much as the three stories.
Cannot wait to see what this author produces next!

What can I say? Do you like to guess the ending from the clues dropped on the way so that you can show how clever you are? Then you may not enjoy this series of three stories. Do you like bland and predictable twists? Well, again you probably won't like this lot. Do you like to be surprised thoroughly, feel tricked by things in plain sight and then feel well and truly entertained and searching for more stories by the same author and wishing there was more to read? Then you will probably love this triplet. This set of three stories will set you on a quest to find out what else K.C. Carter has written like I did and like me you will thoroughly enjoy being tricked, misled and startled by the finish in these stories. I hope that you enjoy them, I did
Good fun and exciting twists
I loved all three of these stories. But, my favorite was the last one. It was short but sooooo good. Very twisted, heavy duty tale. I recommend this book and cannot wait for more. Keep writing and we will keep reading!
These stories are short, painful and I love them. Really good sci-fi, the way it needs to be, sometimes. Thoroughly recommended.
I loved all three shots!!! I don't usually read science fiction, so this is the best science fiction that I've read in a long while. It took less than an hour to read. I would definitely recommend.
